Lower than Last Year

A post in Blue.

Received my repayment for this coming year. It's $55 less than last year. Because I filed separate from my husband on my taxes. It's depressing, but that's the way it is. I have, what, 6 more years of payments and then they can kiss my ass? Glad there was very little stress this time around and I give all the glory to the Holy Ghost for that one.

Hope others have a non-stressful re-certification as well.

Customer Service?

A post in Red.

So I called 800-699-2908 on 10/8/19 at 5:51 p.m. The hold music was the song "Why Don't You Do Right"...sounds appropriate. Spoke with Shelly at 5:54 p.m. (Employee number 612789) and she FRICKING SIGHED before introducing herself and then asking how she could help me. I'm sorry, am I interrupting your sleep? Aren't you freaking supposed to be helping me with my student loan questions instead of "sighing deeply" as if answering the phone is a problem???

At any rate she was confused about the two different forms that we could turn in and after several minutes of trying to figure out which one I was calling about, it's the income driven form, ok, whatever, she said that they received my yearly form on September 23rd and should have a response back by October 12th, but it should NOT be November 4th, the day before payment due, like it has been in the past. Got off the phone with her at 5:59 p.m.

Really, Shelly? Really? Am I boring you with my phone call? Your company fricking takes my LIFE away from me with payments and I'm boring you??I don't even know if talking to a manager would even help at this point....

A post in black.

So first off – got a letter dated 7/25/19 that the re certification is coming soon. And that my documentation is due 9/27/19 but they never sent me anything other than that letter. “In about 2 months, look for another communication from us”….and here it is, 9/18/19 and I have received nothing.

So, in the future, I need to do this on my own in August. Every August. Because they won’t do it. I had to call them at 1-800-699-2908. Spoke to Mason (Employee #617723) at 2:49 p.m. but he answered at 2:57 p.m.  He said I needed to get this into them soon. I have until the 27th of this month. He told me to fix section #1 on the form and I need a tax info form from 2018. Called ended at 3p.m.

None of this is Mason's fault, it's just his job to answer the phone. But FedLoan doesn't give me the time I need to get things together before they spring that $900/month bill on me because I didn't get the paperwork in on time that THEY NEVER SENT ME.

*sigh*

Here we go again....
